I've come to the conclusion that the best way to ring in the new year is by escaping to the desert. After an incredibly complicated 2025 I was in need of a reset. My partner suggested we head out to Marfa and Big Bend but I was feeling hesitant and tired. What I found out there was so magnificent, healing, and inspiring. There is no way I will ever believe my photos can do the raw beauty justice but that hasn't stopped me from trying. Entering 2026 with this body of work has me feeling very proud and capable as a creative—something I lost a bit as the year had began to wind down. Hopefully these photos convey even just a fraction of the magic I felt over my 5 days out west.
